Taking the Fear Out of Buying A Computer

Thinking about buying a computer or upgrading but you just don't have the tech knowledge? If so, keep reading-this site is for you!
A computer is similar to a car. It is made up of many parts, each one performing a particular job so the system as a whole functions properly. And also like a car, trying to find the perfect PC or laptop that suits your tastes can be a daunting task, especially with the abundance of and ever changing technology. Being A+ certified for a number of years, this site is dedicated to helping you understand that technology and at the same time give you the confidence to be able to make a good choice. You will learn about:
The Motherboard
Chipset
USB
Firewire
DDR Memory
Graphics & Sound cards
& Much More
Having this knowledge is important. You don't have to be a techie to know some basic things about computers. If you ever plan on buying a custom-built system, it is a necessity to learn the primary components and terminology. If purchasing from a store, you can avoid being duped by a sales clerk who may try to sell you a super expensive machine that you don't need. And you'll feel proud about yourself when you don't have to refer to family or friends for advice. Who knows, people may start coming to you!!!
To many, computers are down-right scary. With so much technology, it's understandable that buying a computer can be very challenging to the novice at first. But it doesn't have to be that way. On this site I try to keep everything in layman's terms so you can have a full understanding.
I also included a "Recommendations" page. Under the "Home" button on the left, you probably want to start with with the motherboard, processor, and memory because these are the primary features of any system. But feel free to start with any feature you like.
Are you ready to get started? Don't be intimidated. Start taking that fear away by browsing the pages and gaining the knowledge you need. And watch yourself become a smart and more confident computer shopper!!!
